Paramus, a Native American word, which translates to “land of the turkey” was famously known to be the celery capital of the United States. Now, Paramus captured the title of being the largest shopping destination in the country having generated more annual retail sales per year than any other Zip Code in the United States. In visiting the Paramus Park mall, which commemorates the history of Paramus, one will see a large metal statue of a wild turkey.
