My favorite part about SCG Retail is the culture. Everyone in the office is really friendly, funny, intelligent, and willing to help you learn. There is a great balance in the office between having fun and getting your work done. I also enjoyed getting to leave the office for site tours and canvassing as it gave me tangible experience. I also liked that I got to help people in various positions and was not limited to one person or sector to report to. This has been a great experience overall and I would definitely return to SCG if given the opportunity.

I learned a great amount throughout my time with TSCG. I'd say the most important thing I learned was how the day to day of a commercial real estate brokerage runs. Specifically, I learned how important it is to maintain a good relationship with clients through continuous communication and follow ups. My favorite part was capturing positive interest from new potential tenants through my prospecting efforts. I would love to come back to TSCG full time if an opportunity were to present itself. I had a very positive experience this summer at TSCG.

My Summer at TSCG has been great! I learned a lot this summer and am so grateful for all of the employees going out of their way to teach me everything they know. The one thing I appreciated most was how interactive the learning environment was. The TSCG employees showed us how they did their deals and kept us informed about the processes. By far my favorite thing about this company was the great work environment. Everyone in this office made coming here enjoyable and a comfortable place for me to observe them. I would love to work in commercial real estate in my future as well as at TSCG.

I learned everything from dual agency relationships to cyber security issues (ransom ware issues). The MOST important thing was the two sides of the real estate deal (listing broker, buying broker). My favorite part was going on a tour and one of the best things about TSCG was the approachable personalities of the brokers.
Jay Murphy (Former Intern, Now Current Broker)

This Internship has giving me some great experience that I will cherish for a very long time. It has really sparked my interest in Commercial real estate and made my decision for what I would like to do when I get out of school.

I learned how to cold call potential tenants and stay organized when dealing with high volumes of information and data. My favorite part was the team aspect of the office. Everyone respects each other and trusts that they will get the job done. This allowed me to take on jobs bigger than typical intern work. I love how TSCG supports each other. Even though it is a national company, it has a very boutique feel. The Newport News office has done a great job of getting me involved and making me feel at home!

I learned a lot throughout the summer. I think the most important thing I learned was about how to market a property/center and how important it is to really understand the surrounding market in order to create a successful BOV and potential OM. My favorite part was that I could see that what I was doing was actually used in some of the BOV's I worked on. It was very rewarding.
I think one of the best parts of TSCG is the vast network of brokers around the country which gives the company local knowledge that other companies may not have. Additionally, TSCG seemed to do a good job fostering a collaborative environment so that helping others was the norm which was really nice to be a part of. I also think TSCG's analytics department is super exciting and innovative.
I think my internship was unique because I was an investment sales intern with Lynn De Marco. She was a fantastic person to work under this summer. She gave concise and constructive feedback and was always encouraging. I hope to have her as a mentor in the real estate industry for many years to come. I can't thank her and TSCG enough for such a great internship experience this summer!

I really have enjoyed my time at TSCG and appreciate the opportunity to intern for such a great company! I learned a lot! I think the most important thing I learned is how to use my own discretion in approaching an open-ended project in which I can really independently decide what direction I believe is the best. I think the best thing about TSCG is the employees who work here. They are all very friendly and open, and whenever I would approach an employee to ask a question or for guidance, they were always willing and eager to help.
Pardis Pourshiravi (Former Intern, Now Current Graphic Designer)
Atlanta Office
I learned a lot of new techniques in regard to using software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign which helped me to enhance my design skill now and in the future. Also, I learned how to obtain my coworker needs in a real client-oriented workplace. My favorite part was attending the meetings and socializing with new and friendly people, and working on different projects.

Atlanta Office
I learned a lot, especially since I had a very limited understanding of commercial real estate. I would say that the most significant part was understanding the process of developing and enforcing contracts. My favorite part was being able to work with both accounting and management. The best thing about TSCG is definitely the work environment. This was my first real office job and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed coming to work and interacting with everyone at the office.

I learned a ton. I don't believe there was just one really important thing that I learned. However, I think it was extremely helpful & crucial to my future that I learned about not only being a broker, but having the opportunity to learn about various positions, roles & careers in the real estate industry. I think being able to see that has shaped my career path and allowed me to see how different parts of the real estate world work together.
My favorite part was going out to meet with different tenants or landlords & getting to see/explore Memphis more. I think the people were amazing and the best part about TSCG! I loved everyone in the office, and they always made me feel welcome. No one let me feel like my questions were dumb or unappreciated! I will give a little shout out to Shawn, Ada, & Dawn. They are a blessing to work with! They taught me a lot and made me feel like family.
