  • Biography

About

Cheryl Hughes was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As VP, Director of Construction Management and Development, she and her team are responsible for value enhancement and realization activities for retail, commercial, and industrial properties as well as capital expenditure projects throughout the portfolio. Earlier in her career she represented the United States Institute of Peace, serving as Senior Design and Construction Project Manager for their iconic headquarters building designed by Moshe Safdie and located on the National Mall in Washington, DC. A graduate of The Pennsylvania State University in 1985 with a 5 year Architectural Engineering Degree specializing in Construction, Cheryl also holds the LEED AP BD+C credential from the USGBC. She is also an active member in ICSC and CREW. Cheryl and her husband are the proud parents of three adult children who were born and raised in Vienna, VA a suburb outside the DC Metro area.

 

What to know

Cheryl spends many of her free evenings playing competitive USTA tennis matches.
