Nashville-based retail-focused real estate advisory firm The Shopping Center Group has added Justin Schad as a broker.

Specializing in retail for more than 20 years, Schad will continue to focus on representing national and regional box, freestanding and shop tenants for site selection, market strategy and dispositions at TSCG. He will also partner with investors, developers and owners on acquisitions, investment sales and land assemblage.

Schad’s experience includes lease and purchase/sale transactions across retail, land, health care and mixed-use product types. Prior to joining TSCG, Schad was principal broker for Tennessee with TRIO Commercial Property Group.

“TSCG has a celebrated track record not only in Nashville but also across the country,” Schad said in the release. “I look forward to joining a team so dedicated to the continued tradition of building relationships and delivering best in class services.”

Founded in 1984, The Shopping Center Group operates 20 offices and in 2020 recorded nearly $2 billion in transactions. Its third-party portfolio includes exclusive leasing assignments for more than 900 assets totaling more than 80 million square feet, and the company currently has management assignments for about 17.5 million square feet. The firm exclusively represents approximately 430 retailers and restaurants.
