TSCG Leases Barrett Pavilion Space to Zama Mexican Cuisine

Just 22 miles northwest of Downtown Atlanta, on 62 acres of land in Cobb County, sits Kennesaw’s Barrett Pavilion, a shopping center with 458,740 square-feet of retail space. Barrett Pavilion, which is anchored by tenants like Target, AMC Theaters, Best Buy, and REI, is located within two miles of Kennesaw State University and immediately adjacent to I-75.

TSCG (The Shopping Center Group), one of the largest, privately owned, retail-focused real estate advisory firms in the US, just announced its progress as the exclusive leasing team for the shopping center. In late 2019, the center was purchased as part of a partnership between Lincoln Property Company and Stockbridge. TSCG is currently in the process of “repositioning” the pavilion, or executing new leases, relocations, and development. And along with that announcement comes news for the foodies of Kennesaw.

According to a press release, Zama Mexican Cuisine, the eatery we all know and love with locations in Smyrna and Marietta, has signed a lease for the 6,500 square-foot space formerly occupied by Rafferty’s. The restaurant, which is known for its margaritas and a sprawling menu of tacos, burritos, enchiladas and more, is aiming for a January 2022 opening.

One thing’s for certain, after a day of shopping you won’t want to skip the Passion Margarita, crafted with lime, juice of the passion fruit, and a silver, jalapeño-infused tequila.
