- The local Dunkin’ Donuts franchise group is moving forward with plans to add a morning jolt to suburbanites’ commute.
Commercial real estate developer Michael Lightman plans to start construction next week on a 5,500-square-foot building at Centennial Commons, a shopping center at Winchester and Interstate 385.
The free-standing building will be next to Cheddar’s Casual Cafe.
The local Dunkin’ Donuts franchise group, which consists of Maunish Shah, Par Shah and Nilesh Patel, will be leasing about 2,000 square feet. Operating as AKSHAR Winchester LLC, the group will have six Dunkin’ Donuts locally when the store opens.
“We’ve been working on this Dunkin’ deal for well over a year and it’s going to be really nice,” Lightman said.
The 41-seat Dunkin’ Donuts will have a drive-through and easy ingress and egress to get commuters heading toward I-385.
“We’re looking for the going-to-work customer,” Lightman said.
The building will have a small patio as well.
Shawn Massey, a partner with the Shopping Center Group LLC, represented the tenant while Danny Buring, managing partner with the Shopping Center Group, represented Lightman in the lease.
